La Palestine n’apparaît pas sur Google Maps. Pourquoi pas ? Israël, établi sur la terre palestinienne, est clairement désigné. Mais il n’y a aucune mention de la Palestine. Selon Google, la Palestine n’existe pas.
L’omission de la Palestine est une grave insulte au peuple de Palestine et sape les efforts des millions de personnes qui sont impliquées dans la campagne pour assurer l’indépendance palestinienne et la libération de l’occupation et de l’oppression israéliennes. C’est une question importante, car Google Maps est maintenant considéré comme définitif par les gens du monde entier, y compris les journalistes, les étudiants et d’autres qui effectuent des recherches sur la situation israélo-palestinienne.
Que ce soit intentionnellement ou non, Google se rend complice du nettoyage ethnique de la Palestine par le gouvernement israélien. Joignez-vous à nous pour appeler Google à reconnaître la Palestine dans Google Maps, et à clairement désigner et identifier les territoires palestiniens illégalement occupés par Israël. Palestine does not appear on Google maps. Why not? Israel, established on Palestinian land, is clearly designated. But there is no mention of Palestine. According to Google, Palestine does not exist.
The omission of Palestine is a grievous insult to the people of Palestine and undermines the efforts of the millions of people who are involved in the campaign to secure Palestinian independence and freedom from Israeli occupation and oppression.
This is an important issue, as Google Maps are now regarded as definitive by people around the world, including journalists, students and others carrying out research into the Israel-Palestine situation.
Whether intentionally or otherwise, Google is making itself complicit in the Israeli government’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
Please join us in calling on Google to recognize Palestine in Google Maps, and to clearly designate and identify the Palestinian territories illegally occupied by Israel.
